Community Fundraiser A key role within the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies and maximising income from community fundraising initiatives and events. JOB OVERVIEW To be responsible for implementing the Community Fundraising and individual giving strategy, maximising income from community fundraising streams and delivering/exceeding financial targets. To be jointly responsible, with the Events Manager, for the income of community events.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work directly with the Head of Community Engagement to implement the community fundraising and individual giving strategy.Plan and deliver exciting fundraising activities to engage with our >£1,000 donors.To liaise with <£1,000 donors who are attendees, table hosts, sponsors, attendees to our events encouraging their continued involvement and support.To raise awareness with and build, develop and retain relationships with communal organisations such as synagogues, schools, lodges, youth organisations, local businesses etc. to gain their financial and practical support of Norwood. Ensure that community fundraising is an integrated part of an effective wider programme of engagement and supporter acquisition and generate a significant percentage of the Norwood’s revenue. To hold a number of key donor relationships and work to maintain and develop the relationships and level of support to Norwood. Working alongside the Young Peoples Programme & Project Manager, develop and nurture relationships with young volunteer fundraisers e.g. through a bar/bat mitzvah programme, youth organisations etc, with the aim of maximising the funds they raise and their engagement with Norwood.Coordinate the appropriate use of volunteers to support local fundraising. To develop and manage a ‘Celebrate’ campaignProduce reports when required, Respond to all enquires made by phone, post and email. Acknowledging donations appropriately; write effective thank you letters. To keep abreast of life events of our donors through monitoring of communal publications and communicate appropriately.
